Yeah, a piece titled "Saturday Morning" submitted during Thursday evening. Not a mindscrew, honestly.
I have a love-hate relationship with cartoon network about now. On one hand, a ready access to cartoons is the only thing that made this poorly timed shot possible.
On the other hand, 6Teen? Seriously? I hate this show. and I certainly wouldn't want my 10 year old dollie watching it. I could have just broken out the Chowder DVDs but this was the only TV in the house that fit the mood I wanted, and it has no DVD player. sadface.
I've been wanting to do this shot for a while. Ever since I got Henry's pajamas, actually. Something with quaint natural lighting, with a pretty universal call-back to childhood. Getting up at 7 AM to watch cartoons because you knew all the good ones would be over by 11.
This was actually the first shot in the session, and I cannot express how lucky that is. The rest of them were pretty crap.
and I'm pretty sure Henry is not happy with me, making him hold a little Barbie plate and sit in I'm-not-really-sure-this-is-suwarrico-but-it-might-be. Oh well! Such are the sacrifices we make for art!
